Danil Chashchin was born in 1989 in the city of Tyumen in Siberia. In 2006 graduated from the Tyumen Academy of Culture, Arts and Social Technology as a theatre director. Worked at the Academy as an assistant professor and later as a professor of acting from 2006 till 2011. At present he is a graduate student of the Moscow Art Theatre School, the workshop of Viktor Ryzhakov at the Meyerhold Centre. He is the director of a number of productions, including HIP HOP OPERA OF THE DEAD PRINCESS, OR PLAYING PUSHKIN at the Youth Platform Samy Tsentre, Tyumen; the promenade-performance THE DIVINE COMEDY at the Youth Platform Samy Tsentre, Tyumen; UFO based on Ivan Vyrypaev’s play at the Youth Platform Samy Tsentre, Tyumen; IN A GROVE based on Ryūnosuke Akutagawa at the Meyerhold Centre; ALMA AND BRUTUS at the Meyerhold Centre; CHRISTMAS.doc at the Tyumen Philharmonic; GOOD NEWS by Julia Tupikina at the Drama Theatre, Prokopievsk.
