Alexander Manotskov

Alexander Manotskov, born in April 1972, is a St. Petersburg composer who works in diverse genres. His first productions for theatre were made in cooperation with Andrei Moguchy and Formal Theatre: “The Long Christmas Dinner”, “Konstantin Treplev`s Play “People, Lions, Eagles And Hens”, “Home Theatre” and other various performances. Some of Manotskov’s major works staged at various theatres include: “Nude Pioneer”, “Antony&Cleopatra. Version” at the Sovremennik Theatre and “The Golovlyovs” at the Moscow Art Theatre; He is author of several operas including “Gvidon” (Golden Mask 2011 nominee), “Haugtussa”, “The Four Quartets”, “Tityos The Perfect”, “The Snowmaiden”, “Requiem, or Children`S Games”; “Chaadsky” to name but a few.
