Tufan Imamutdinov


Born in November 1984 in Naberezhnye Chelny, Tufan Imamutdinov is a graduate of the Culture and Arts School in the town of Yelabuga. In 2011 he graduated from the Russian Theatre Art Academy where he was a student of Professor Oleg Kudryashov. Some of Imamutdinov’s major works as a director at various theatres include: “The Lonesome West” Martin McDonagh,Theatre of Nations, Moscow; “Diary of a Madman” Nikolai Gogol, Mayakovsky Theatre, Moscow; “Caligula” Albert Camus, National Theatre of Romania; “Love of People” Dmitry Bogoslavsky, TYuZ, Kazan; “Mother Courage and Her Children” by Bertolt Brecht, Stary Dom Theatre, Novosivirsk, name but a few. Since 2014 he has been working in Kazan TYuZ as chief theatre director. His production “Alluki” is nominated for the Golden Mask National Theatre Award 2020.
