Since 2004 the best Russian productions – the Golden Mask nominees and winners – are annually presented in Estonia and Latvia. In 2008 and 2011 programmes of The Best of Russian Theatre were presented in Lithuania. In the autumn of 2010 the Golden Mask, in collaboration with partners in Belarus, presented a festival of Russian theatre in Minsk.
Since 2011 similar presentations of Russian theatre have been taking place annually in Israel.
In the autumn of 2018, the Golden Mask Festival started a collaboration with the Istanbul Theatre Festival with the aim to present Russian theatre to the Istanbul audience. The production of HAMLET|COLLAGE staged by Robert Lepage at the Theatre of Nations was the first and a very successful outcome of this collaboration. In 2019, the Golden Mask Festival and the Istanbul Theatre Festival presented a wider selection featuring a programme of the best Russian theatre productions, as well as master classes and lectures by Russian theatre practitioners and critics.
